‘…you guys have done it. You’ve beaten the odds and made it to the elite level despite sometimes being the lone player throughout your youth hockey career’
This was part of the message that our Founder, Dee Dee Ricks, delivered to a group of talented hockey players right before their first game in the 2018 Chowder Cup College Open Tournament in Foxboro Massachusetts.
The pre-game speech was a reminder to the team that though they are from different teams, states, and even countries, they have all earned their way to this tournament by working hard and excelling through challenges and adversities.
We are extremely proud of our team, they played hard and represented not only NextGEN but more importantly, themselves, with dignity, grit and class in Foxboro.
